Jugs and java and hellfire.

June 4, 2009

So, some asshole burned down the Grand View Coffee Shop.

Owner Donald Crabtree had just been before the local planning board that very evening to seek approval for expanding his business into a full-on strip club, but was rudely awakened – literally and figuratively – by the vengeful flames that completed destroyed his business at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

What do you want to bet that the arsonist is some religious nutcase who thinks that women ought to be barefoot, pregnant and demure and that this type of blatant immorality is a slap in god’s face and is harmful to our children and is the downfall of civilization and is a sign of the end times and blah blah blah…?

Mr. Crabtree says he intends to rebuild.  I say good for him.  People are always going to like coffee and doughnuts, but what is also true – and what the pious flock need to get through their brainwashed little pea-brain noggins – is that people like to look at bare breasts, too.

  1. Mardé Says:

Do we have the American equivalent of the Taliban here in the good old USofA, an American Taliban? A group that doesn’t care who it destroys in the process of implementing its crazed mission from God? Fortunately, an ambulance went by at 1am and alerted the sleeping family, else they too would have been burned to cinders. Would the ironic juxtaposition of a rescue ambulance in front of advancing flames give pause to these Taliban? Not a chance! God, or Allah, is on their side no matter what. Nothing shakes up the brainwashed little pea-brain noggins of this pious flock, to coin your expression, Minds!

Do I exaggerate? Nah, not by much.

  2. Minds Erased Says:

Nope, not by much. These pious wackos think they have the god-given right to exact their brand of Old Testament justice on those people who do things that they just don’t like, like show naked boobies and get married to someone with the same type of pee-pee. Sure, there is humor to be found here, but like the old quote says, “Comedy is just a funny way of being serious.”
